Together with 12 other European Regions, MedCoast is participating in the 7th European Framework Programme (FP7) project TERM - Tissue Engineering Regenerative Medicine. The main objective is strengthening the transnational cooperation between regional research clusters in the field of TERM by establishing a European model network for the development of world-class clusters.

Consortium: MedCoast has formed a third party consortium with GöteborgBIO/Business Region Göteborg and Göteborg University to perform the work in TERM.
Key objectives:
- Assessing the capacity of European regions in contributing to the development of Advanced Therapies through their regional research policy
- Organising coherent and structured regional and European support to TERM research & networks
- Developing a European knowledge of available skills and infrastructures through dedicated tools
- Setting up a financial plan to enable the implementation of the TERM action plan and provide recommendations for the next financial instruments to policy-makers
- Broadly disseminating the project outcomes and enabling the TERM initiative to grow, to be sustainable after the end of the project and giving birth to a World-Class Cluster
